This is a traditional no fuss tavern! I had the original burger with pepper jack cheese. It was exactly what I was craving -- a hardy beef burger. The service was so sweet. Our server, Robin, was accommodating, friendly and very personable. The front had a tight waiting area. Ambiance was lively, colorful and like a classic town bar! Would definitely recommend!!

Arthur's Tavern is a good choice for a meal. Arthur's Tavern has a cool enough ambiance, good service and good food for your money. We stopped by here and were greeted amiably. Our server was fantastic and my steak was good.

There are fancier steakhouses, but Arthur's is an NJ treasure. Super attentive service, quality food, a homey, comfortable atmosphere make it a must to visit if you're in the area. If a 24oz. steak is too much, get one of their sandwiches or outstanding burgers. I always relish taking friends who've never been there for their first experience. They never fail to enjoy themselves. If you haven't been, you need to soon!

A legend in this part of Morris County and worth the detour off route 10, the short drive from Morristown, or the walk (literally) across the parking lot from the Morris Plains train station. The menu hasn't changed in forever, and the prices haven't budged all that much either. If you're in for lunch, go for a burger and a side of potatoes (no fries). The service is attentive, but you may need to ask for the bowl of pickles that used to be on the table before you sat down. Gone are the pickled tomatoes and cabbage, but that's just an observation and not a complaint. If you're there for a night out, the modestly priced and well cooked steaks are a good deal. You're not getting a Manhattan steakhouse steak, but you're not paying that price either. Get another half liter of beer or glass of house red and enjoy. This is a place for fun and food, not to impress a early date or business clients. Downstairs is classic with red checked table cloths and faux liquor bottle lamps. It's a fun spot. Upstairs is good provided the whole place is packed or else it's a bit forgotten.
